Students sign up for a meal plan on their housing application.

Flex Dollars work like a pre-paid debit card with funds kept on the student ID card.  Flex dollars may be used at any on-campus dining venue during the semester.

Flex dollars can be added to a Commuter Plan at any of our dining venues with our cashier.  You can also visit our website as another fast and easy option. Add Flex Points

Flex dollar balances can be found at any of our dining venue cash registers after a purchase is made.  They can also be tracked through the student's CSP account under 'University Quicklinks'.

For the 2024-2025 Academic Year, Residents living in Luther Hall, Wollaeger Hall and Hyatt Village should spend approximately $21.65 per day. Holst Hall residents should spend approximately $9.56 per day. You can use the  Meal Plan Flex Guide  to help track your spending throughout the semester; a printed poster is also found in the Student Life Center.

Yes, students can upgrade to the full meal plan for an additional fee. Please talk to Residential Life Manager, Marte Marshall or mmarshall@csp.edu 

On-Campus students can purchase $65, receive $35 free for a total of $100 spending power with our Sodexo cashier at any of our dining venues after their meal plan dollars are spent. You can also visit our website to purchase. Add Flex Points

Remaining flex dollars at the end of the semester will be forfeited.  No refunds for residential meal plans.

Flex dollars do not carry over into another semester for residential meal plans.

Commuters can add meal plans to their accounts in 1 of 3 ways.

1. Visit either the Dining Hall cashier or the Comet’s Cafe cashier and add funds to your commuter account. Funds can be added by cash or card.
2. To place the charge on your student account fill out the google form linked HERE; funds will be added within 2 business days.
3. You can also go to our Shop Now dining plan section as another fast and easy option.

Students having a commuter meal plan do not pay taxes on their food purchases.  

Also, flex dollars carry over from Fall to Spring Semester, but must be used by the end of the academic year in the spring!   

Off-campus Commuter meal plans do not receive refunds for unused flex dollars.

Absolutely!  You can use flex points, cash or a credit card to pay for meals in the Dining Hall, even if you don't have a meal plan.

The Comet's Cafe, which is located in the Pearson Commons, proudly brews Caribou Coffee. They create a variety of espresso drinks, smoothies, gourmet sandwiches, salads and more!

We have two ShelfX Coolers on campus.  One is located in the CSP Community Lounge, Meyer 121; the second is in the first floor lounge of Ries Tower.  The ShelfX coolers offer a variety of fresh food and bottled beverages 24 hours a day.  The ShelfX accepts meal plans and credit/debit cards.

You will want to get a new card so you can continue to use your flex dollars.  Should this happen please get a replacement at the Card Service Office at Campus Security, Meyer Hall 124.  You can also contact them directly at (651) 641-8788 or cardservices@csp.edu.
